Huntsman Polyurethanes is a global in MDI based polyurethanes, serving over 3,000 customers in more than 90 countries. They have world scale production facilities in the USA, the Netherlands and China, and 19 highly capable downstream formulation facilities which are located close to their customers, worldwide.
For their facilities in Botlek (Rotterdam) Proton Ventures designed and built a skid mounted HCl absorber unit to convert hydrogen chloride gas stream into hydrochloric acid solution with a production capacity of 8 ton/h.
Next to it, Proton Ventures designed and built two HCl storage tanks of 2,000 ton with a dispatch system.
Kemira Cooling Tower
A project in association with Kemira – Kemira Cooling tower
Kermira is a global chemicals company serving customer in water-intensive industries. They provide expertise, application know-how and chemicals that improve their customers’ water, energy and raw material efficiency. Their focus is on pulp & paper, oil & gas, mining and water treatment.
In 2011 Proton Power Cooling installed two Cooling Towers on the Kemira site which provided Kemira with over 1500 m3/hr cooling water per hour with a water temperature of 22 ºC. The project is an open project as we keep improving the productivity and quality of our cooling water system.
A project in association with Baltic Chemical Terminal (BCT)

AS BCT is a state-of-the-art terminal complex at the Estonian port of Sillamäe that stores and transships ammonia and liquid mineral fertilizers.
Proton Ventures realized two ammonia tanks of 30.000 tons capacity each and four UAN tanks of 20.000 tons capacity each.
The liquid ammonia can be delivered from Novgrod district by rail and forwarded by customers by sea vessels. The service range was also extended by using specialized containers for UAn transshipment.
